Questions brands ask us
Short answers. If yours is not here, put it in the request form and we answer it by email.
- What does the smoker need?
- A phone. The label opens in their browser, and they can rate the cigar as a guest or with a CigarShare account.
- What is the infoblast?
- The page a smoker lands on when they scan your label: your branding, your language, your images and video, links to your site. It tells the person holding the cigar about it, in as much or as little detail as you want.
- Do I have to build the infoblast myself?
- No. Send us your text, photos, and colors, and we build it. Change it whenever you like, or ask us to; changes go live without reprinting a label.
- Does the infoblast show ratings from other smokers?
- No. The page shows what you put on it. The ratings people give after smoking go into your reports, which only you see.
- Do codes expire?
- No. A code is permanent, and a reprint draws the same one. A code you’ve retired still opens the cigar’s page, because somebody still has that cigar in their humidor.
- Who prints the labels?
- You do, or your print shop. The download is an SVG, so it prints sharp on any label printer or stock label sheet.
- How many codes do I need?
- As many or as few as you like. One code can cover a whole line, each vitola can have its own, or a release can have its own. Your reports follow the same cut.
- What do I see about individual smokers?
- Totals and averages about your cigars, never a name or an email. Smokers get the same promise from CigarShare.
- Can more than one person at my company have access?
- Yes. Each person signs in with their own account and sees the same brand.
- Can we start with one line?
- Yes. Access can cover a single line or the whole brand, and it can grow later.
- Can I get set up at a trade show?
- Yes, and it is our favorite way. Come by the booth and you leave with your first code on your phone and a scan already in your report.
- What is CigarShare?
- The app QRcigar runs on. Cigar smokers use it to log, rate, and share what they smoke. Your codes open your cigar’s page there, and your reports come from what smokers record.
